Our colleague Stuart Mcowan, formerly a Paramedic in Edinburgh and now a Team Leader at East SORT, is doing the Aberfeldy middle distance triathlon on 20th August 2023. This is to raise funds for The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC) who provided him with tailored support at the Police Rehabilitation Centre following a total left hip replacement in 2021.
As I’m sure many of you will know, GMB Union are a partner with TASC and have a memo of understanding with them across the UK. They are a fantastic charity who provide much needed support for current and retired Ambulance staff. GMB@SAS regularly signpost members to TASC as they can do so much to improve the health and wellbeing of GMB members within the ambulance sector.
