This policy aims to encourage and support employee attendance, where health impacts their ability to be at work.

Who does this apply to?
The Attendance Policy applies to all employees and workers, including bank, agency and sessional workers.

Bullying and Harassment Policy

This policy provides a supportive environment to employees seeking an early resolution to bullying or harassment concerns. It is also a formal mechanism to address unresolved, significant or persistent bullying or harassment, or both. The behaviour can be by an individual or a group, either face to face, written or using electronic methods.

The Bullying and Harassment Policy applies to all employees and workers, including bank, agency and sessional workers. It also applies to volunteers.

Capability Policy

This policy provides a clear process to support and manage employees who are required to improve their knowledge, skills or ability to perform their role. It does not apply when the professional competence of medical and dental staff is being reviewed.

Who does this apply to?
The Capability Policy applies to all employees with the exception of medical and dental staff, other than when a doctor or dentist has had their registration suspended by the regulator as the result of an interim orders panel (IOP), in which case the suspension of registration provisions will apply. It also applies to workers i.e. bank, agency and sessional workers.

Conduct Policy

This policy provides a process to ensure that concerns about standards of conduct, inappropriate behaviour or wilful misconduct are managed in a fair, consistent and timely manner.

Who does this apply to?
The Conduct Policy applies to employees and workers, including back, agency and sessional workers. It does not apply when reviewing the professional conduct or competence of medical or dental staff.

Grievance Policy

This policy provides a clear process to follow when an employee or group of employees makes a grievance complaint about their employment situation. It enables all parties to air their differences and seek a resolution.

Workforce Policies Investigation Process

This policy provides a clear process to establish facts by carrying out full and thorough investigations as quickly as possible. It also supports informed and transparent decision-making for cases being considered using the NHSScotland Workforce Policies.

Who does this apply to?
The Workforce Policies Investigation Process applies to employees and workers, including bank, agency and sessional workers. It does not apply when reviewing the professional conduct or competence of medical or dental staff.
