Cure Leukaemia donation from GMB@SAS Branch

GMB@SAS Branch recently donated to the Cure Leukaemia blood cancer charity for their 4 day bike ride from London to Paris.  Over 200 riders took part in this event and they have raised over £400,000!  Well done to all those who took part.  GMB@SAS Branch was delighted to have been able to make a small contribution to this amazing cause.
Please see a heartfelt note of thanks below from one of the fundraisers from Cure Leukaemia.  This was sent to the Branch in advance of their epic journey.  Well done to everybody involved!
On behalf of everyone involved in our fundraising efforts for Cure Leukaemia, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for the incredibly generous £250 contribution from the GMB Union, Scottish Ambulance Service. Your support means the world to this cause, which is so close to my heart and many others.
As you may know, our team is gearing up for an exciting challenge this June: a cycle from London to Paris to raise vital funds for Cure Leukaemia. This gruelling yet inspiring journey will see us pedal over 280 miles in four days, taking in iconic landmarks and pushing our limits to support groundbreaking research and treatment for leukaemia patients. Your donation will directly contribute to making this event a success, helping fund innovative clinical trials and giving hope to those battling this disease.
The work Cure Leukaemia does is transformative, providing access to cutting-edge treatments that can save lives. Thanks to supporters like you, we’re able to move closer to a future where leukaemia is no longer a life-threatening diagnosis. Your commitment to this cause through the GMB Union at the Scottish Ambulance Service is a testament to the strength and compassion of your community.
Once again, thank you for standing with us in this fight. Your generosity is making a real difference, and we’re so grateful to have you in our corner.
With warmest regards,
John Gibson
